Before undergoing this procedure, be sure to discuss your current condition, medical history, any medications you're taking, and all your expectations with Erin. She always gets to know her patients to understand their concerns before prescribing any treatment.
On the day of your procedure, Erin will perform a punch biopsy to extract a small skin sample from your scalp. From that sample she will harvest hair follicles full of your dormant stem cells. She'll place the sample into a centrifuge that will spin it until your "awakened" stem cells and platelets separate from your tissue, creating a cell suspension. Then she'll mix in some MSCs harvested from umbilical cord blood. Finally, Erin will carefully and strategically inject this cell suspension back into the spots on your scalp where your hair is missing or thinning.
